Why is the maximum charging voltage for the Audi e-Tron 150 kW battery higher than for the 55 kW one?

I noticed that the maximum charging voltage for the 150 kW battery is 800V, while it is only 400V for the 55 kW battery. Why is there such a significant difference between the two? Does it affect the charging speed?

The 150 kW battery uses a different type of battery cell known as the pouch cell, which is able to handle higher voltages compared to the 55 kW battery which uses a prismatic cell. This does not necessarily affect the charging speed, as it is also dependent on the charging station and the charging protocol used.
