Why is my Audi A4 engine making a ticking noise?

I recently noticed my Audi A4 engine making a ticking noise while idling. It also seems to get louder as I accelerate. Any ideas on what could be causing this and how to fix it?

The ticking noise could be due to low oil levels or dirty oil, which can cause the engine to work harder and result in a ticking noise. I would recommend checking your oil levels and getting an oil change if needed.

Another possibility could be a faulty or worn belt in the engine, which can create a ticking noise as it rotates. It's best to get this checked by a mechanic and replace any damaged belts.
