I recently noticed that when I start my Audi A3, I hear a strange clicking noise coming from the engine. It only lasts for a few seconds and then goes away. Is this something I should be worried about or is it just a normal part of starting the car?
ReplyThe clicking noise you hear is most likely the sound of the fuel injectors opening and closing. This is a normal part of the engine's startup process and nothing to be concerned about.
It could also be a sign of a weak battery or starter. If the clicking noise continues after the engine has started, it may be worth getting your battery and starter checked.
I had a similar issue with my A3 and it turned out to be a faulty fuel pump. I would take it to a mechanic to have it checked out, just to be safe.
