Why is my Audi A3 making a strange buzzing noise?

I have noticed a strange buzzing noise coming from my Audi A3 while I am driving. It seems to be coming from the engine but I can't pinpoint the exact location. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

The buzzing noise could be a sign of a loose or dirty fan belt. It's important to have this checked and replaced if necessary to avoid further damage to your engine.

Another potential cause of the buzzing noise could be a problem with the alternator. If the alternator is failing, it can create a buzzing or grinding noise. Have a mechanic check your alternator to confirm if this is the issue.

It's also possible that the buzzing noise is coming from a faulty bearing in one of the pulleys. A bearing replacement is a fairly simple and affordable fix, so it's worth having it checked out.
