Why is my Audi A3 making a squeaking noise when I press on the brakes?

I recently noticed that whenever I press on the brakes, my Audi A3 makes a high-pitched squeaking noise. It doesn't seem to affect the performance of the brakes, but it's starting to become bothersome. Is this something I should be concerned about?

It's likely that your brake pads have worn down and need to be replaced. This can cause the squeaking noise, and if left unattended, can lead to more serious brake issues. I suggest taking your car to a trusted mechanic and having them do a thorough inspection of your brakes.

Another possible cause could be the brake rotors. Over time, they can become warped and cause the brakes to make a squeaking noise. I recommend having your rotors checked and possibly replaced if needed.
