I have a 1995 Audi 80 and recently it's been making a noticeable whirring noise while I'm driving. It seems to be coming from the engine area. What could be causing this?
ReplyIt's possible that your engine's bearings are worn and need to be replaced. This can cause a whirring noise as the moving parts are not running as smoothly as they should.
Another possible cause of the whirring noise could be a worn serpentine belt. If the belt is worn or loose, it can create the noise you're hearing. Have it checked and replaced if necessary.
If you hear the noise only when the engine is cold, it could be a problem with the engine's timing belt. A loose or worn timing belt can create a whirring noise. Get it inspected and replaced if needed.
