Why is my Audi 80 experiencing excessive oil consumption?

I have noticed that my Audi 80 seems to be using a lot of oil. I have to top it up every few hundred miles. Is this normal or is there something wrong with my car?

Excessive oil consumption can be a sign of a problem with your engine. It is important to have this checked by a mechanic as soon as possible. It could be a simple fix, but if left untreated, it could lead to more serious issues.

It is not normal for your Audi 80 to consume that much oil. It could be a sign of a leaking gasket or worn out piston rings. It is recommended to take your car to a trusted mechanic for a proper diagnosis.

I had the same issue with my Audi 80 and it turned out to be a faulty PCV valve. I would suggest getting it checked and replaced if necessary. It's a relatively easy and inexpensive fix.
