Why does my Audi A3 have a vibration noise when idling?

I recently noticed a slight vibration and noise in my Audi A3 when idling. It seems to intensify when the AC is turned on. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

It is not uncommon for Audi A3 models to have a slight vibration and noise when idling, especially if the AC is on. However, if the noise becomes louder or the vibration is more noticeable, it could indicate an issue with the engine or exhaust system. It is always best to have it checked by a professional mechanic.

I also experienced a vibration and noise in my Audi A3 when idling, but it turned out to be a loose heat shield. It was an easy fix and I have not experienced it since. You may want to have your mechanic check for any loose components under the car.

The vibration and noise could also be caused by a worn out engine mount. This is a common issue in older Audi A3 models. It is important to have it replaced as soon as possible to avoid any further damage to the engine.
