Why does my Audi 80 start and immediately stop?

I have a problem with my Audi 80, it starts up fine but then immediately shuts off. I've checked all the usual suspects like the fuel pump and the spark plugs but everything seems to be working fine. What could be causing this issue?

Based on the information provided, it sounds like the issue could be with the ignition control module. This could cause the engine to start up initially, but then shut off due to a malfunction. I would recommend getting this checked by a certified mechanic.

Another possibility could be a faulty fuel pressure regulator. This can cause the engine to start and then immediately die due to insufficient fuel supply. It's best to have a mechanic test the fuel pressure to determine if this is the issue.

One thing to check for is any vacuum leaks in the engine. A leak in the vacuum system could disrupt the air-fuel mixture and cause the engine to start and then stop. You can try using a vacuum gauge to test for leaks or have a mechanic do it for you.
