Why does my Audi 80 make a loud knocking noise when accelerating?

My Audi 80 has recently started making a loud knocking noise when I accelerate, but it stops once I reach a higher speed. What could be causing this issue and how can it be fixed?

The knocking noise you are experiencing could be due to a worn-out engine mount or a damaged exhaust system. It is recommended to have a mechanic inspect your car for a proper diagnosis and repair.

It is possible that the noise is coming from a loose or damaged heat shield. You can try tightening the bolts on the heat shield or have it replaced if necessary.

The knocking noise could also be a result of low oil pressure, which can lead to engine damage if not addressed promptly. Check your oil levels and have the oil changed if necessary.
