What to do if my Audi 80's engine is overheating?

I have an Audi 80 and recently I've noticed that the engine temperature gauge is going into the red zone. What should I do in this situation?

First, try to pull over and let the engine cool down for a bit. The hot engine can cause serious damage if you keep driving. Once it has cooled down, check the coolant levels and make sure it's at the appropriate level. If it's low, top it up and see if that helps. If the gauge stays in the red, it's best to get your car checked by a mechanic.

Make sure the radiator and the surrounding areas are free of any debris or dirt. This can cause the engine to overheat. You can also try turning on the air conditioning which will help cool down the engine. However, if the gauge continues to show high temperatures, it's important to get your car checked by a professional.
