What should I do if my Audi 80's engine is making a loud grinding noise?

I have an Audi 80 and recently the engine started making a loud grinding noise. It's still running, but the noise is concerning. What could be causing this and what should I do?

Hi Samantha, it sounds like your engine may have an issue with the bearings or other internal components. The best course of action would be to take it to a mechanic and have them diagnose the problem before it gets worse. Don't ignore the noise, as it could lead to bigger and more expensive problems down the road.

Samantha, I've had a similar issue with my Audi 80 before. It turned out to be a problem with the timing belt. My advice would be to not wait and take it to a mechanic as soon as possible. Ignoring it may result in serious damage to your engine.

Hey Samantha, I had the same issue with my Audi 80 and it was caused by a worn out water pump. I would recommend checking the water pump and replacing it if necessary. Don't wait too long, as it could cause overheating and damage to your engine.
