What is the most common cause of engine stalling in the Audi 80?

I have noticed my Audi 80 stalling frequently while driving and I am unsure of the cause. The engine runs smoothly most of the time but stalls without warning. I am not sure if this is a common issue with Audi 80s or if it is a sign of a larger problem.

The most common cause of engine stalling in the Audi 80 is a faulty mass air flow sensor. This component measures the amount of air entering the engine and if it is not working properly, it can cause the engine to stall. I would recommend getting the sensor checked and replaced if necessary.

Another common cause of engine stalling in the Audi 80 is a dirty or clogged fuel filter. This can restrict the flow of fuel to the engine and cause stalling. Try replacing the fuel filter and see if that solves the issue.

It is possible that the issue could be with the ignition system, specifically the spark plugs or ignition coil. These components can wear out over time and cause stalling. I would suggest getting the ignition system checked and replaced if needed.
