What is the difference between Audi's Haldex and Torsen all-wheel drive systems?

I am curious about the two different AWD options offered by Audi. How do they function and what are the advantages/disadvantages of each?

The Haldex system is a clutch-based AWD system that sends power to the rear wheels only when slip is detected. It is more fuel efficient but may not provide as much traction in extreme conditions.
