I recently acquired a 1995 Audi 80 with a 2.6L V6 engine. I want to change the engine oil but I'm not sure which brand and viscosity is best for this specific engine. What would you recommend?
ReplyI would recommend using a 5W-30 synthetic oil from a reputable brand such as Mobil 1 or Castrol. The high quality of synthetic oil helps protect your engine, especially in extreme temperatures. As for the brand, I personally have had good experiences with Mobil 1.
I would suggest using a 10W-40 conventional oil from a trusted brand like Valvoline or Pennzoil. These oils provide good protection and are more affordable compared to synthetic oils. As for the brand, I have been using Valvoline for years and I haven't had any issues with it.
I have a 1996 Audi A4 which has the same engine as the 1995 Audi 80. I have been using 5W-40 full synthetic oil from Liqui Moly and it has been working great for me. It meets the specifications required by Audi and it is also approved by VW.
