What is the Audi A3's recommended oil type?

I am planning to do an oil change on my Audi A3 and want to make sure I am using the proper oil type. Can anyone confirm the recommended oil type for this model and any brands they have had success with?

The recommended oil type for the Audi A3 is 5W-30 synthetic oil. I have had good experiences with brands such as Mobil 1 and Castrol Edge.

According to the Audi A3 owner's manual, the recommended oil type is 5W-30. I have been using Pennzoil Platinum with great results.
