I've been experiencing engine misfires in my Audi 80 and I'm not sure what's causing it. I've changed the spark plugs and wires but it hasn't helped. Any advice?
ReplyHi Laura, sorry to hear about the issues with your engine. Engine misfires can be caused by a variety of things, including a clogged fuel filter, faulty ignition coil, or even a vacuum leak. Have you checked for any error codes using a diagnostic tool? If not, that would be my first recommendation. It can help pinpoint the exact issue and save you time and money on unnecessary repairs. If no codes are present, I would suggest taking it to a mechanic for further diagnosis. Best of luck!
Hey Laura, I had the same issue with my Audi 80 and it turned out to be a faulty ignition coil. It's a common problem with these cars, so I would definitely have that checked. Also, make sure all your spark plugs are properly gapped and in good condition. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Hi Laura, I had a similar problem with my Audi 80 and it ended up being a vacuum leak. Check all the vacuum hoses and connections to make sure they are tight and not cracked. A small leak can cause big problems for the engine. Hope this helps!
