Is it necessary to replace the timing belt on an Audi 80 every 60,000 miles?

I just bought a used Audi 80 and I'm not sure if I need to replace the timing belt. The previous owner said it was done at 60,000 miles, but it's been around 75,000 now. Is it really necessary?

Yes, it's important to replace the timing belt at 60,000 miles to avoid any potential engine damage. It's better to be safe than sorry.
