How to fix a clunking noise in my Audi 80's steering?

I've noticed a clunking noise whenever I turn my steering wheel in my Audi 80. It seems to be coming from the front of the car. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

Based on your description, it sounds like you may have a worn out control arm or ball joint. These components help support the weight of the vehicle and can cause clunking noises when they become worn or damaged. I recommend having a mechanic inspect these parts and replace them if necessary.

Another possible explanation for the clunking noise could be a loose or worn steering linkage. This can be caused by normal wear and tear or even hitting a pothole. I suggest having your steering components checked and possibly replaced to eliminate this as a potential issue.
