First, you should check the spark plugs and wires. If they are worn or damaged, they could be the cause of the misfiring. If they appear to be in good condition, the next step would be to check the ignition coil. If the coil is faulty, it could also be causing the misfiring. Another possibility could be a clogged fuel injector. This can be easily fixed by using a fuel injector cleaner. If none of these solutions work, it may be best to bring your Audi 80 to a mechanic for further diagnosis.

I had a similar issue with my Audi 80 and it turned out to be a faulty oxygen sensor. This can often cause misfiring. I would suggest getting the sensor replaced or cleaned, if possible. Also, make sure to regularly check and replace your air filter as a clogged filter can also contribute to misfiring.

In addition to what has already been mentioned, be sure to also check the fuel pressure regulator. If it is not functioning properly, it can cause a decrease in fuel pressure which can lead to misfiring. It is also important to regularly clean and maintain your fuel injectors to prevent any potential issues.
