How to check the oil level on an Audi A3?

I am planning a long road trip and want to make sure my car has enough oil. Can you walk me through the steps to check the oil level on my Audi A3?

First, make sure your car is parked on a level surface and the engine is turned off. Then, locate the oil dipstick near the front of the engine compartment. Remove the dipstick and wipe it clean with a cloth. Reinsert the dipstick and remove it again to check the oil level. If the level is between the minimum and maximum marks on the dipstick, your oil level is good. If it is below the minimum mark, you will need to add more oil.
