How to change the air filter in an Audi 80?

I recently noticed that my Audi 80's air filter needs to be changed. How can I do this myself without having to take it to a mechanic? Is it a difficult process and what tools will I need?

Hi Emma! Changing the air filter in your Audi 80 is actually a fairly easy process. You will need a screwdriver, a new air filter, and possibly a pair of pliers. First, locate the air filter housing under the hood of your car. It should be a black plastic box with a lid and a few clips holding it in place.

Next, remove the lid by unclipping the clips or unscrewing the screws, depending on your specific model. Take out the old air filter and replace it with the new one. Make sure it is placed in the same position as the old one.

Before closing the lid, check if there is any debris or dirt in the housing and clean it out if necessary. Finally, put the lid back on and secure it with the clips or screws. And that's it, your air filter has been successfully changed!
