How do I check my oil level in an Audi A3?

I just bought an Audi A3 and I want to make sure the oil level is correct before I start driving. How do I do this?

First, make sure your car is parked on a level surface. Then, wait until the engine has cooled down for at least 10 minutes before checking the oil. Locate the dipstick, pull it out and wipe it clean with a cloth. Put the dipstick back in and pull it out again to check the oil level. If it is between the maximum and minimum marks on the dipstick, your oil level is good.
