It seems like the speedometer needle on my 1992 Audi 80 is stuck on a particular value while driving. It doesn't move at all, even when I accelerate or decelerate. I've already checked the fuses and they seem to be fine. Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?
ReplyCheck the speed sensor on the transmission. It might be faulty or disconnected. If that's not the issue, consider replacing the entire instrument cluster or getting it repaired.
Try resetting the car's computer by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and then reconnecting it. This might reset the speedometer and fix the issue.
Check the speedometer cable that connects the instrument cluster to the transmission. It might be loose or damaged, causing the needle to get stuck. Replace if necessary.
