Why is my Audi 80 suddenly losing power while driving?

I've been experiencing an issue where my Audi 80 will suddenly lose power while driving on the highway. The engine doesn't stall but it feels like it's not getting enough fuel. I've checked the fuel pump and it seems to be working fine. Any ideas why this could be happening?

It sounds like you may have a clogged fuel filter. When was the last time you changed it? A clogged fuel filter can restrict the flow of fuel to the engine, causing it to lose power.

Another possibility could be a faulty ignition coil. Oftentimes, when an ignition coil is failing, it can cause intermittent power loss while driving. Have you noticed any unusual engine sounds or trouble starting the car?

It could also be a problem with your alternator. If the alternator is not charging the battery properly, it can cause the engine to lose power. Have you had your alternator tested recently?
