How do I replace the alternator in an Audi 80?

I am having trouble replacing the alternator in my Audi 80. I have removed all the bolts, but the alternator still won't budge. What am I missing?

First, make sure you have disconnected the battery and unbolted the drive belt before attempting to remove the alternator. If it still won't budge, try using a pry bar to gently loosen it from its mounts.

Check to see if there are any additional bolts or wires that need to be removed before the alternator can be taken out. Also, double check the routing of the drive belt to ensure it is not snagging on any other components.
