Why does my Audi A6's engine make a ticking noise on startup?

When I start my Audi A6, I hear a distinct ticking noise coming from the engine. It only happens upon startup and goes away after a minute or so. What could be causing this? Is it something I should be concerned about?

This ticking noise could be caused by a faulty lifter or valve in the engine. It is recommended to have a mechanic take a look to avoid any potential engine damage.

It could also be caused by low engine oil levels. Check your oil and top it off if necessary. If the noise persists, it's best to have a professional diagnose the issue.

Make sure to use the correct type of oil for your Audi A6, as using the wrong kind can cause engine noise. Consult your owner's manual or a trusted mechanic for guidance.
