How to change the automatic shift mode in an Audi A1?

I recently purchased an Audi A1 and I prefer to drive in manual mode. However, the car automatically switches to automatic mode every time I start the engine. How can I change this setting to always stay in manual mode?

You can easily change the default shift mode of your Audi A1 by going into the settings menu. From there, select 'Automatic Shift Mode' and toggle it to 'Off' to always stay in manual mode.
