I find the automatic start-stop feature in my Audi A1 to be annoying and I would like to know how to disable it. It keeps shutting off my engine every time I come to a stop and it's starting to affect my fuel efficiency. Can someone please explain how I can turn off this feature?
ReplyTo disable the automatic start-stop feature in your Audi A1, simply press the 'Auto Off' button located on your center console. This will permanently turn off the feature and your engine will no longer shut off when you come to a stop. Keeping this feature off may slightly decrease your fuel efficiency, but it will eliminate the annoyance of constantly restarting your engine.
You can also temporarily disable the automatic start-stop feature by pressing the 'ECO' button located on your dashboard. This will turn off the feature for your current trip, but it will turn back on when you start your car again. This can be a helpful option if you want to save fuel during a long trip without completely turning off the feature.
If you want to permanently disable the automatic start-stop feature but still want to retain some of its fuel-saving benefits, you can get a software update at your local Audi dealership. This update will allow you to turn off the feature completely or set it to a higher minimum temperature, so it will only activate in extreme weather conditions.
