Why is the Audi A7's mid-range acceleration not smooth?

I've noticed that when accelerating at around 60-80 mph, the Audi A7's mid-range acceleration is not as smooth as I expected. It feels slightly jerky and not as seamless as the initial acceleration. Is there a technical reason for this?

The Audi A7's mid-range acceleration may feel slightly jerky due to the vehicle's transmission system. The dual-clutch transmission used in the A7 can sometimes exhibit jerky behavior during gearshifts, especially when accelerating at higher speeds.

I noticed the same issue with my Audi A7 and after doing some research, I found that it could be caused by the vehicle's adaptive cruise control system. The system may be adjusting the transmission's shifting points to maintain the set distance from other vehicles, resulting in slightly jerky acceleration.

I've been driving an Audi A7 for years now and I've come to realize that its mid-range acceleration may not be as smooth as some other luxury vehicles. This could be due to the car's weight and aerodynamics, which are optimized for fuel efficiency instead of performance.
