Why is my Audi's check engine light on after an oil change?

I just got an oil change on my Audi and now the check engine light is on. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

It could be a simple issue like the gas cap not being tight enough. Check that first and see if the light goes off after a few driving cycles.

If the gas cap is not the issue, it could be something more serious like a faulty oxygen sensor. I recommend taking it to a trusted mechanic to get it checked out.

In my experience, sometimes the check engine light can come on after an oil change due to a loose connection. Make sure all connections are secure and see if that resolves the issue.
