Why is my Audi A8 making a clicking sound when I turn the steering wheel?

I recently noticed that my Audi A8 has been making a clicking sound whenever I turn the steering wheel. It doesn't seem to affect the performance of the car, but I'm worried it may be a sign of a bigger issue. What could be causing this and should I take it to a mechanic?
