Why is my Audi A4 making a grinding noise while braking?

I've noticed that my Audi A4 makes a strange grinding noise whenever I press on the brakes. It doesn't seem to affect the car's performance, but it's definitely a concerning sound. What could be causing this and is there anything I should do about it?

It's likely that your brake pads are worn out and need to be replaced. This can happen over time with normal use of your car. I recommend taking your car to a certified mechanic to have them inspected and replaced if necessary.

Another possibility is that there is debris or rust buildup on your brake rotors, causing the grinding noise. You can try cleaning them yourself or take your car to a professional for maintenance.
