Why is my Audi A3 shaking when I brake?

When I apply the brakes in my Audi A3, I notice that the car starts to shake or vibrate. It's not a drastic shake, but enough to be noticeable. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

C

There are a few possible reasons why your Audi A3 is shaking when you brake.

D

One possible cause could be worn brake pads. If your brake pads are too thin, they may not be able to provide adequate stopping power, causing your car to shake as you apply the brakes.

E

Another possibility is warped brake rotors. Over time, the metal surface of the rotors can become warped, which can cause shaking or vibrations when you brake.
