Why is my Audi A3 making a clicking sound when I start the engine?

I recently purchased a used Audi A3 and noticed that there is a clicking sound when I start the engine. It goes away after a few seconds and the car seems to run fine afterwards. Is this something I should be concerned about?

Hi there, Aaron! This clicking sound is most likely normal and nothing to worry about. It could be the sound of the fuel injectors firing up or the sound of the engine oil circulating. However, if the sound persists or if you notice any other unusual noises or performance issues, it would be best to have a mechanic take a look at it.
