Why is my Audi 80 engine making a clicking noise when I turn it on?

I recently purchased a used Audi 80 and noticed that every time I turn the engine on, there is a loud clicking noise coming from the engine. It lasts for a few seconds and then goes away. Is this something I should be concerned about?

The clicking noise could be coming from a worn or damaged starter motor. It's best to have a mechanic take a look at it as soon as possible.
