Why does the Audi A5's engine make a clicking noise at idle?

I've noticed a clicking noise coming from my Audi A5's engine when it's idling. It's quite faint, but definitely there. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

This is most likely due to a worn or loose timing belt. This can cause the timing to be slightly off, leading to the clicking noise. It's best to get it checked out by a mechanic to avoid any potential engine damage.

I experienced this same issue with my Audi A5. After taking it to a mechanic and getting the timing belt replaced, the noise disappeared. It's definitely worth getting it checked out by a trusted mechanic.
