Why does the Audi 80 produce a rattling noise when accelerating?

My Audi 80 has recently started making a rattling noise whenever I accelerate. This noise seems to be coming from the engine and gets louder as I increase speed. What could be causing this issue?

This rattling noise is most likely caused by a loose or damaged heat shield on your exhaust system. The heat shield is designed to reduce the amount of heat radiated from the exhaust, but over time it can become loosened or corroded, leading to the rattling noise. I recommend taking your car to a mechanic to have the heat shield reattached or replaced.

Another possible cause of the rattling noise could be a faulty or worn out engine mount. Given that the noise increases with acceleration, this could be a sign that the mount is failing to support the engine properly. I suggest having a mechanic inspect and potentially replace the engine mount to resolve the issue.
