Why does my Audi's engine produce a ticking noise while idling?

I've noticed that my Audi makes a ticking noise while idling, but the noise goes away when I accelerate. Can anyone tell me what could be causing this issue and how I can fix it?

The ticking noise could potentially be caused by a faulty lifter in the engine. It is recommended to take your car to a trusted mechanic for a thorough inspection and potential replacement if necessary.

Sometimes a ticking noise can be simply from your engine being low on oil. Check your oil levels and if needed, top up to the recommended level. If the noise persists, it's best to have it checked by a professional.

If your oil levels are fine and the ticking noise still persists, it could be a sign of a worn out timing belt. It's best to have it replaced before it breaks and causes further damage to your engine.
