Why does my Audi R8 have a high engine oil temperature during track day?

I noticed that my Audi R8's engine oil temperature is above 230 °F during intense track day driving. Is this normal or should I be worried? What could be causing this issue and how can I address it?

This is a common issue with high-performance cars during track day driving. It could be caused by a combination of factors such as high ambient temperature, aggressive driving style, and inadequate cooling system. To address this issue, you can upgrade your engine oil and cooling system, and modify your driving style to reduce unnecessary stress on your engine.

I faced a similar issue with my Audi R8 during track day. After consulting with a mechanic, I found out that the issue was due to a dirty engine air filter and clogged air intake. I cleaned and replaced these parts and my engine oil temperature returned to normal. Make sure to regularly clean and replace your engine air filter to avoid this issue.
