Why does my Audi make a whining noise when I accelerate?

I have noticed a whining noise coming from my Audi whenever I accelerate. It seems to be coming from the engine area. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

The most common cause of a whining noise when accelerating in an Audi is a worn out belt. Check the serpentine belt and replace if needed. Also, make sure all pulleys and bearings are in good condition.

D

Another possible cause of the whining noise could be a faulty power steering pump. Check the fluid level and condition, and replace the pump if necessary. Also inspect the steering system for any leaks or damage.

A

If the whining noise only occurs at high speeds, it could be an issue with the transmission. Have a mechanic inspect and possibly replace the transmission fluid and filter if needed.
