Why does my Audi A8 make a knocking sound while accelerating?

I recently noticed a knocking sound coming from my Audi A8 whenever I accelerate. It seems to get worse the faster I go. Can anyone tell me what could be causing this and how to fix it? Thank you!

It sounds like you may have a problem with your engine knocking. This can be caused by a variety of issues, such as incorrect fuel octane level, dirty fuel injectors, or engine misfiring. I recommend taking your car to a certified mechanic to diagnose and fix the issue.

I had a similar issue with my A8 and it turned out to be a failing water pump. When the pump starts to go bad, it can create a knocking noise that gets louder as you accelerate. Take your car to a mechanic and have them check the water pump.
