Why does my Audi A8 make a high-pitched squealing noise when I accelerate?

I recently noticed that my Audi A8 makes a loud, high-pitched squealing noise when I accelerate. It seems to be coming from the engine, but I can't pinpoint the source. What could be causing this and is it something I should be concerned about?

The most likely cause of the squealing noise is a worn-out serpentine belt. This belt helps drive the engine's accessories, such as the alternator, water pump, and power steering pump. If the belt is old or damaged, it can slip and make a loud noise. Get it checked and replaced if necessary. As a side note, regularly maintaining your Audi A8, including replacing belts and other worn-out parts, can prevent more serious issues down the road.
