Why does my Audi A7's engine make a ticking noise at idle?

Recently I've noticed a strange ticking noise coming from my Audi A7's engine when the car is idling. It seems to go away when I start driving, but I'm worried it could be a sign of a bigger issue. Has anyone else experienced this or know what might be causing it?

It's most likely just a normal noise coming from your fuel injectors. Many modern engines have direct fuel injection which can make a ticking noise at idle. As long as the noise doesn't get louder or you notice any performance issues, it's nothing to worry about.

I had the same issue with my Audi A7 and it turned out to be a problem with the cam lobes. I would recommend getting it checked out by a mechanic just to be safe.

I've had my Audi A7 for 3 years now and it's always had a slight ticking noise at idle. I've had mechanics check it out and they assure me it's nothing to worry about. Just keep an eye on it and if it gets worse, then get it checked out.
