Why does my Audi A6 make a clicking noise when I turn it on?

It seems like my Audi A6 is making a clicking noise every time I start it up. It doesn't affect the performance or sound of the engine, but I'm wondering if this could be a sign of a more serious issue. Has anyone experienced this in their Audi A6?

The clicking noise is most likely caused by a faulty starter solenoid. It's a common issue in Audi A6 models and can easily be fixed by replacing the solenoid.

If the clicking noise only happens when the engine is warm, it could be due to a bad valve lifter. You may need to have it replaced to stop the clicking sound.
