Why does my Audi A5 shake while idling?

I've noticed that my Audi A5 sometimes shakes when it's idling, especially when the engine is cold. Is this a common issue or should I be concerned?

It is not uncommon for Audi A5s to have some slight shakiness during idle, especially when the engine is cold. This is often due to the direct injection system causing more vibrations. However, if the shaking continues after the engine is warmed up or becomes excessive, it may be a sign of a larger issue and should be checked by a mechanic.

One thing to check is your engine mounts. Over time, they can become worn and cause shaking during idle. If this is the case, they will need to be replaced.

I've found that using a higher octane fuel can help reduce shaking during idle in my Audi A5. The higher octane helps to prevent knocking and can result in a smoother idle.
