Why does my Audi A5's start-stop system not work sometimes?

I have an Audi A5 and I've noticed that sometimes the start-stop system does not work when I come to a stop. This feature is supposed to automatically turn off the engine when I am at a complete stop and start it again when I release the brakes. What could be causing this issue?

The first thing to check is the battery level in your car. If the battery is low, the start-stop system may not work properly. Try charging or replacing your battery and see if that solves the issue.

Another possibility is a faulty sensor or switch in the start-stop system. It could be misreading when the car is at a complete stop and therefore not activating the system. You may need to have it checked and potentially replaced by a mechanic.
