Why does my Audi A5's engine making a strange noise?

I recently noticed a weird sound coming from my Audi A5's engine. It's difficult to describe but it's like a low humming or grinding noise. It doesn't seem to affect the car's performance but it's definitely not a normal sound. Has anyone experienced this before or know what the cause could be? Any help would be appreciated.

It could be an issue with your engine's belts or pulleys. Have a mechanic take a look and see if they need to be replaced or adjusted.

I had a similar problem with my A5 and it turned out to be a loose heat shield on the exhaust. Make sure yours is securely fastened to the car's underbody.
