Why does my Audi A5's engine make a rattling noise on start-up?

I recently purchased an Audi A5 and noticed that upon starting the engine, there is a rattling noise for a few seconds before disappearing. Is this normal? Should I be concerned?

Yes, it is normal for the engine to make a rattling noise on start-up. This is caused by the timing chain tensioners being slack and will resolve itself within a few seconds.
