Why does my Audi A5 make a rattling noise when I shift gears?

I recently noticed that my Audi A5 makes a rattling noise every time I shift gears. It doesn't happen when I am driving, only when I am shifting. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

The rattling noise could be due to a problem with the gearbox or transmission system. It is recommended to have a mechanic check it out and possibly replace any worn out parts.

Another possible cause could be a loose or damaged exhaust system. This can also create a rattling noise when shifting gears. Take your car to a professional to get it inspected and fixed.

Sometimes, the issue can be as simple as a loose shifter linkage or worn out shifter bushings. These can easily be fixed by a mechanic and will help eliminate the rattling noise.
